Retired Chartered Accountant and former Secretary of the Harris Charity from 1979 to August 2013. In addition to being a trustee of this charity he is also trustee of Harris Free Public Library and Museum Trust. Peter has been a driving force behind many community initiatives in Preston for over 50 years. He uses his professional skills and natural energy and motivation, illustrated by his work as one of the founding trustees and longstanding chairman of GIFT92 which supports families and individuals in furniture poverty, also as a trustee of Preston Relief in Need.

Peter is chairman of MHA Palace Shield Cricket Competition and very active in helping local young people through this and other trustee involvements he has held.
