Joanne was born and raised in Burnley. She is a chartered accountant and runs her own company advising and investing in businesses. She loves the outdoors, particularly walking and running with friends and family. She strongly believes in the huge benefits both sports and arts generate for young people (and old!) and is pleased to promote these in any way she can – especially via her role within the Harris Charity. Joanne is also a trustee of the Liverpool School of Tropical medicine and a governor of Stonyhurst College.
